AutoQuitous: 2nd Workshop on Autonomous Ubiquitous Systems

Call for papers

In today’s rapidly advancing technological landscape, autonomous systems have become pivotal, reshaping industries and revolutionizing human interactions with the world. From enhancing security through advanced surveillance systems to optimizing resource usage with intelligent irrigation solutions and from boundary-transcending drones to civilian surveillance systems that provoke critical ethical discussions, autonomous systems are now integral to our lives. This workshop aims to explore the complex interplay between the technical capabilities of autonomous systems, the ethical challenges they present, and the crucial role of human interaction in their operation.

Despite their remarkable independence, autonomous systems are not entirely self- sufficient. Human interaction remains essential, as these systems may occasionally require intervention for tasks such as issuing warnings, scheduling maintenance, or providing updates on emerging trends. Therefore, understanding the synergy between technology and human agency is crucial.
